I live in Michigan, and it really unseasonally warm now, and when it gets too cold I let my dog stay inside while I work (can not do it all the time, They love to distroy everything I own) so while I was at work (about 8 hours a day) they are outside on a 10×10 covered dog kennel with 2 large, insulated dog house. My dogs are both lab mixes, one about £ 45, and the other about £ 65. Any interesting suggestions on how to help them stay warm while I am at work today?
Here in Indiana the winters can get pretty cold too but many dogs survive extremely well outdoors. Most owners seem to use either hay or straw for sheets with an old blanket.Its also a good idea in areas colder place Bales of straw or hay around the sides of the dog house as well as added insulation. Labs are tough dogs & must survive several hours outside the period as have them somewhere convenient to snuggle up to sleep!
